On Strength: “Becoming” the Hafu Witch
At the wedding, I caught up with my lion mama for the first time in years. She reminded me about the magic in my family, offering blessings and affirmations about my siblings. To me, she said, “Nicole, you are a bruja. A bruja.” And all I could do is cry in gratitude for this affirmation. Her offering gave me strength to go forward as The Hafu Witch.
On Scarcity and Control
Staying proactive rather than reactive and fear-based gives us the opportunity to build a new foundation for a world that will not go back to business as usual. We can shift our mindset and know that there is enough to take care of everyone. We can look to cultivate self control instead of trying to control all of the external variables that are inconvenient for us. We can be mindful about how our behaviors impact others. If these are lessons we learn from the pandemic, we will come out of all of this as better people and stronger communities. The four of pentacles illuminates our relationship with control and boundaries.
On Resistance
it's been approximately 50 days since the #stayhome order went into effect. 50 days of shifting our ways of being in this world. 50 days of coming to terms with the fact that things are not going to be the same as they once were. 50 days of rediscovering what it means to connect with one another. a lot of this time has been spent on grieving what used to be.
On Leadership
When a leader, or really anyone we know, is abusing their power or causing harm, we have to name it.
On Manifestation
sometimes, this card asks us to take some time to ourselves to figure out what it looks like to embody our highest vision of ourselves and our lives. I encourage you to take some time to reflect on who you want to be and where you want to go in life
On Temperance
the #threeofpentacles paired with #temperance point to our opportunities for #teamwork and #community building, but also the opportunities for #balance within the internal dynamics of this teamwork. teamwork provides opportunity - opportunity for growth, opportunity to elevate something we cannot do alone. we need teamwork. we need community.
On Equity & Justice
the king of cups is a reminder to take time to observe natural cycles and time to observe human-made cycles. there is an imbalance between the two.
